| 8333 | 2001-02-04 19:08:00 | Recently upgraded motherboard and CPU. Everything worked fine for a week or so, but now I am getting a Floppy Disk Fail (40) message on boot up. I threw in another floppy drive and tried changing cable, to no avail. In Device Manager, it shows the Floppy controller is working fine. I am at a loss... anyone hae any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Check no bent pins on the connector on the motherboard, check bios settings. All obvious stuff I know, but I hope it's one of these as it would be a bit traumatic if your new motherboard had a flakey connector |
