| 8440 | 2001-02-07 10:10:00 | Hi Maurice, The following information was extracted from Q192844 on the Microsoft knowledge base. 'This behavior can occur if you have a Linksys EtherFast 10/100 network adapter in your computer. The EtherFast network adapter can cause a resource conflict with Windows 98 PCI Steering'. Go to search.support.microsoft.com to read the entry in full. Regards PC |

| 8441 | 2001-02-08 01:42:00 | Hi Maurice O.E Exceptions usually happen with flaky hardware and will most likley happen when you install windows.O.E exceptions often means there is a problem with your cpu,m/b or ram, isolating which it is is the hard part.Faulty ram would be at the top of the list. If you can swap each part with another one that would be the way to go. there are ram testing programs that you could try, failing that you might just have to replace the ram. If you can,t find a ram testing program I can send you one. rgds Boris |
