| 8669 | 2001-02-13 04:04:00 | I have an Athlon 1 G system with 256 ram 40 GB hdd and a geforce 2 MX. I will use my computers for both work and games. What OS should I use to make the most of my system?? One more thing....is it true that win 98 sucks at handling ram? that 256 ram won't be much different from 128 ram?? Any comments is appreciated. |

Linux because its free (although its more suited for intermediate advanced users). Its all up to you which one. My opinion i would go with windows 2000. Hope that helps. | Guest (0) | ||

With that amount of processor grunt and ram you'll have no problems - even with games. After using Win2k I found ME just felt like a toy. I'd definately recommend running the Windows 2000 Readiness Analyser over the system before you install though. |
