| 8637 | 2001-02-12 10:07:00 | I have two machines on a simple network with Win2k Pro installed. One has a modem as has ICS set up. The other computer has been set to use DHCP. The computer with the modem attached can browse the web ok but the other computer cannot. I can ping the IP address of sites ok. How do I get DNS to work on the second computer? Thanx |

| 8638 | 2001-02-15 06:03:00 | hi, assuming the win2k machine has the modem , remove dhcp on the other machine and select obtain a ip adress automatically....reboot and you you should be surfing .....are you using ie or netscape ? please post more if i have misunderstood! rgds |
