| 8591 | 2001-02-11 03:53:00 | This does not actually just apply to Outlook Express and Internet Explorer icons, it also applies to My Computer and the Trashcan... basically, I'd say all System Icons. The trouble is that I'd like to have my icons appear just a bit from their 'standard' positions, but every time I move them and reboot, they've popped back to THEIR desired places. Is this possible to fix? I'm aware of a program, TweakUI... can this do it? Or is there a direct system way? cheers. |

| 8592 | 2001-02-11 06:57:00 | Try this :- Right click somewhere on your desktop - in a clear area - Select 'Active Desktop' - Make sure 'Lock icons' is not ticked... I think this selection depends on your OS but a selection like this is probally still available - look for something similar... |

| 8593 | 2001-02-11 10:03:00 | I forgot to mention that i'm using W98. And yes, I am using Active Desktop. It sill does that - still won't save sys-icon positions. hmmm. |
