| 8678 | 2001-02-13 04:14:00 | I run Windows 98 on a PC that is 18 mths old. For the last three weeks, I have been experiencing this problem on start-up: the desktop appears as per normal, but the shortcut icons on it don't appear, ie I just have a completely empty desktop. If I push ctrl-alt-delete, the 'Close program' dialog box says simply: Explorer (not responding) Vsmon (Not responding) Csinject Minilog The second of these items ('Vsmon (Not responding)') is highlighted. If I push ctrl-alt-del again, the PC normally re-boots correctly, though occasionally I have to try this three or four times. How do I fix this problem? |

In here untick everything and restart, if your pc starts ok go back to msconfig and tick one thing, restart, repeat steps until you find the errant app. You can then uninstall, delete, reinstall as per your requirements. |
