8781 2001-02-15 08:05:00 Hi Ross,
Thanks for the help, but there is a problem.
I am unable to open a new address book, I get the message.<Access to the specified device, path. is denied> and I don't know any other way of opening a new book.
Have found the old 'WAB' file but can't do anything with it.
Regards Ron Guest..
PS I can receive e-mail ok but the New Mail button is inactive, also the Forward one.

8782 2001-02-15 10:47:00 Hello Ron
You seem to have problems with Outlook Express itself rather than just the Address Book.
My solution would be to completely remove Internet Explorer including Outlook Express and reinstall afresh,
the best way to do this is to use Ieradicate a freeware tool by Shane Brooks, just search google.com for it.
You will need to copy your C:\Windows\Application Data Folder and your C:\Windows\Favourites folder to a backup folder prior to removing IE, you can then restore all your mail and Address Book using Outlook Express's import function.
This may seem a hassle but I think you will find it quicker and easier than trying to narrow down where your folder corruption has come from.

Regards

Alan
