| 8708 | 2001-02-14 03:23:00 | I have Windows 98 SE & SR1 installed on a Toshiba Tecra 8100 along with Office 2000. I want to show negative values in Access and Excel in brackets. The local settings under Windows have been adjusted to show this. Unfortunately the bracket negative format does not appear in the Excel format cells control. All applicable sections of Windows and Office seem to be installed OK and everything else works correctly. I would appreciate assistance in getting this to work correctly. |

This is one solution which works in Excel but unfortunately is not directly available in Access as it picks up on the settings from 'Local settings' in Windows. I've set this up but does not seem to feed through. On other machines set up seemingly identically then in Excel the format cells command shows an example of say a number in red and brackets under numbers. |
