8720 2001-02-14 07:55:00 My computer uses 240volts(New Zealand) but is it possible to change the power box so that its possible to use 110volts?

Thanks

8722 2001-02-15 01:05:00 That wasn't the answer he wanted... 240 to 110 is required...... Guest (0)
8723 2001-02-15 09:46:00 Why not use a 240:110 transformer backwards?
If your 110v is DC I would say forget it.

8724 2001-02-15 17:51:00 Before rushing off down the block to your electy store, look on the back of your machine near where the power cable is plugged in. You probably have a little red or orange selector switch that you move with a screwdriver and this will change the input power voltage. WARNING, Do NOT set to 110v and try to use in NZ,Australasia, Most of Europe etc. Bye-Bye power supply if you do. Most computer systems have this ability. Guest (0)
