8957	2001-02-19 10:41:00	I had a computer that printed OK. I then bought a newer computer and set up a 2 computer network ( cable only). The new computer now has the printer attatched. I then used the network to print from both computers. I now wish to print from both computers without main computer ( printer attatched)being on. So I was going to use a printer switch box. used them before with no probs at all. I removed the printer software form the 2nd computer. Unticked PRINTER SHARING in network properties. And cabled up. Main coputer worked fine through switch box. @nd computer didn't. SO I attached the printer directly to the 2nd computer. STILL NO PRINTING. Actually when I try to install the software ( HPDJ720C) it tells me it can't find the printer attached to any LPT port. I have tried 2 different printer cables ( both work OK on main computer) I have changed the internal connector from the M.B to the port plug. no joy there. Windows reports the LPT port is working fine. HOWEVER I cannot even print from DOS. Have booted into DOS still no print. ANY IDEAS PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!	Guest (0)
