| 9032 | 2001-02-21 09:43:00 | I've 2 problems 1) everytime I click shut down, the pc restarts. i tried the other options - restart / standby / restart in ms dos - all are ok. But when I click shut down, it just restart. 2) when the pc restarts, it says it is missing symevnt.386 file. I've gone to regedit and delete that file under software-symantec but the message still comes on. Would appreciate if someone can help. ** i'm using windows 98 SE and I've recently unistalled norton pc anywhere from my system. thanks & regards Rina |

If you're getting symevnt.386 errors when starting then your Symantec product may not have un-installed completely. Try doing a full install, re-boot, then a full un-install again. |
