| 9306 | 2001-02-27 08:26:00 | My cdrw drive has recently gone on the fritz. It still works fine as a cdrom but but just makes coasters when I attempt to write anything. Have tried with nothing else running in the background and disabling the DMA on both the cdrw and hard disk but to no avail. This unit has worked fine in the past. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. software:adaptec direct cd2.5 and easy cd creator3.5 system:creative cdrw2024e, cyrix300,128ram,8Gb hard disk ViaMVP4 board with intergrated sound and video |

If you are getting power-callibration errors and such, then it may need a dust-clean, or be on the way out. I'd personally ditch EZCD creator and grab NERO, WinOnCd, or something similar, as ezcd creator has always given me issues.. |

| 9308 | 2001-03-02 01:10:00 | Many CD Writers have a real problem with Adaptec Easy CD Writer prior to version 4.2 I also suggest you get WinOnCD version 3.7 or 3.8. I have never had a problem with this software. I should also mention that there certainly have been brands of blank CD's have made me wonderful coasters. These include Princo, NEC, and Mr Write. You get what you pay for. I now stick to Kodak. | Guest (0) | ||
