| 9285 | 2001-02-27 03:32:00 | Problem . . . . I have to shut everything down to run my defrag on Win98, or so I'm led to believe . Have been able to close everything from the 'tray', my anti-virus, screen saver, etc . but unable to select more than one programme at a time in the Ctrl-Alt-Delete box . . . . I HAVE to preform a defrag (it's never been done and) as everything runs soooo slow and I hope the defrag will help . | Guest (0) | ||

Just kill each one at a time in the ctrl alt del box. You need to leave explorer and systray running. A good program to close all of the unneeded programs down at once is called End It All. You do not HAVE to close all programs before running defrag, but it does help. Matt |
