1270727 2012-04-18 05:10:00 Hi guys,

I have 2 x Windows 7 Enterprise x64 computers which have RDC v 6.1.7601 installed on them. They are having an issue with getting disconnected from a Server 2008 server intermittently. I suspect there is an issue with the versions of the RDC software or the TCP chimney offload is enabled.

I have been tasked with investigating the RDC software option.

Now Windows 7 is supposed to ship with v7 of the RDC client but it appears the deployed package for our OS here in the office "strips" this away and replaces it with v6.1.7601. I am trying to find a way to re-install/upgrade the RDC client to v7. So far I have only been able to find updayes for XP and Vista.

Anyone got ideas on how or if this can be done.

Thanks,

1270728 2012-04-18 05:34:00 Looks like rdc 7 is inc in Win7. On here it shows 6.1.7601. For version and shell. But says it supports remote desktop protocol 7.1. Even in XP it shows 6.1.7600 for version and shell. But RDP 7, not 7.1

Is this what youre seeing? (social.technet.microsoft.com)
