1270721 2012-04-18 03:03:00 ABBYY (fine reader sprint) was installed on my computer when I bought Epson printer. I didn’t like it and took it back. Went to use the Uninstall program provided with it but pressed Delete instead of enter . So uninstalled via control panel/ Program and features “uninstall or change a program.”

However looking through Explore in various places bits titled ABBYY would still show. Someone else had a look and deleted the rest via the registry (I think). But I’ve just discovered under ProgramData still 6 folders there, 3 non folder items with only about 10kb in total. Nothing shows under uninstall or change a program.
Can I just delete these items from Program Data folder.

Have Vista I/ E 8

1270722 2012-04-18 03:24:00 Yeah pretty safe to delete. To be safe just rename or move them temporarily and give it a week or so to make sure nothing bad happens. dugimodo (138)
1270723 2012-04-18 03:36:00 thanks, where is the best/safest place to move them to?? ktee (5538)
1270724 2012-04-18 03:57:00 Anywhere really, perhaps just make a folder in my documents called "old stuff to delete" or something equally creative and shift the whole lot into there.
Odds are pretty good nothing will happen.
