1270530 2012-04-17 04:54:00 I have an ASUS N61Ja laptop
Windows 7 Home Premium
minutes after booting up it freezes & then starts a blaring sound, have to hold the start button down to shut it off.
it will boot up to safe mode & stay operative - which would indicate a driver problem, is that right?

1270531 2012-04-17 04:56:00 Did you scan it for malware in safe mode? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1270532 2012-04-17 05:03:00 sorry the obvious - will do no & report back NZHawk (4093)
1270533 2012-04-17 05:12:00 Not a stuck key? wratterus (105)
1270534 2012-04-17 05:22:00 no - I think it would still blare in safe mode with a stuck key. NZHawk (4093)
1270535 2012-04-17 05:33:00 Without actually seeing it, at a wild guess I'd say graphic problem, possible drivers, since it runs in safe mode it will be loading the default windows ones. wainuitech (129)
1270536 2012-04-17 05:38:00 currently malware scan is clean - still a bit to go NZHawk (4093)
1270537 2012-04-17 05:54:00 malwarebytes came back clean - no infections
what would be the next suggested step?

1270538 2012-04-17 05:58:00 Look in event viewer in safe mode. See what it says Speedy Gonzales (78)
1270539 2012-04-17 06:29:00 to be honest, I don't know how to decipher what the events view is saying
is there a way for me to list it here to get some help deciphering it?
