1270277	2012-04-15 14:08:00	I can only get GMail to open in the simplified HTML version, both on Firefox and Chrome . Speed seems the same as always and I'm up to date on security (MSE) and all M$ Updates and Hotfixes . Cleared cookies, cache and still messed up . I reset all my passwords even on all the sites I visit . YouTube runs OK so international radio streams are fine too . Firefox 11 . 0, and reports itself as up to date . Why is your Gmail loading in basic HTML? You may see the basic HTML version of Gmail if: You're using an unsupported browser . You're using a slow network connection . * You previously set basic HTML as your default view . Click Standard View at the top right of Gmail to switch to the latest version . You were trying to access the older version of Gmail, which we retired in October 2010 . This is NOT the case with GMail . * I can run YouTube, so the speed is fine . Chrome is v 18 . 0 . 1025 . 162 and reports up to date too . Since I have no access to the GEAR in GMail, I cannot test it . 1270281	2012-04-15 23:17:00	Have you added any addons or lab features? Or changed settings in other Google properties? e.g. in iGoogle for example, that are related to Gmail. I used to sometimes get basic html, when I used preview mode from labs in Gmail.	kahawai chaser (3545)

1270283	2012-04-16 03:55:00	Now I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled after a reboot and running CCleaner - all of Firefox, Google, GMail and even another Chrome. This is still buggered up. Am I forever gonna be stuck in simple HTML version? The settings appear to be somewhat global to any-all computers I use to sign into my primary screen name. 1270284	2012-04-16 04:28:00	Yeah it souds like it's the web based G-mail setting not your local machine. I just logged into mine with IE8 to have a look and it's all as expected, can you try IE at all? (considering you can't uninstall it you should be able to). Otherwise you may have to E-mail google and see how good the support is.	dugimodo (138)

1270286	2012-04-16 05:33:00	I don't know but I find it ironic that Gmail is working better for you with IE than with Chrome..... You can play around with the settings from IE and see if it has any effect back on the other browsers, but that's about as much as I have to offer.	dugimodo (138)
