1270259	2012-04-15 09:29:00	hey guys i really need help with my pc. Ok so i have a problem. i have a computer and when it boots it seems to only use the onboard motherboards gpu (nvidia geforce 7025) instead of my hd radeon 5770. Under display adapter it shows the nvidia geforce instead of the radeon. Also under everest it shows nothing under gpu or pci/agp video. when i plug my monitor into my graphics card i get no picture. I have windows 7 with updates and the catalyst drivers for my grapihcs card. Im not sure if the drivers are installed properly because i have installed them lots trying to get it to work. I also have a problem with windows but i need to get my graphics card working too, thanks.	robwarrior (16752)
1270260	2012-04-15 09:36:00	Uninstall the nvidia drivers if theyre still installed. And you are plugging the monitor into the ATI card right, not the onboard?	Speedy Gonzales (78)
1270261	2012-04-15 10:45:00	ye thanks for the quick reply gonzales i got it working: i uninstalled (nvidia drivers) via add or remove programs and uninstalled the catalyst drivers (AMD catalyst install manager) and (application profiles) plugged my monitor into the vga slot on my card then rebooted. Upon reboot i inserted the catalyst cd which caused me to lose picture so i took it out and rebooted then downloaded the drivers from nvidia website, all is well with my card now but i have another problem if anybody can help. so i activated my OEM version of windows 7 (succesfuly) whilst trying to get my graphics card to work. After several reboots and power on/offs of my computer windows came up and said preparing windows for first use which is obviously not right because i was using it before. So now windows wants me to activate my product key which i already have	robwarrior (16752)
1270262	2012-04-15 10:49:00	You dont need the nvidia drivers if youre using the other card (not the onboard card) You should only install one of the drivers not both. What does it say when you try to activate again then?? Any error / message	Speedy Gonzales (78)
1270263	2012-04-15 10:52:00	Check the power cables for the gfx card plugged in properly. This happened to me about 2 weeks ago. Kept booting off the integrated.	icow (15313)
1270264	2012-04-15 11:03:00	To reactivate, right click Computer/properties, at the bottom of the page, activate windows. If its not playing nice, you can try selecting change product key, then re-enter the product key , it then "should" reactivate. The graphic card now working may have caused it to think its got new hardware and triggered the activation again. preparing windows for first use normally should only come up if the system has been sysprepped or its a new name brand PC. ( which is actually sysprep doing its thing)	wainuitech (129)
