| 1247694 | 2011-12-07 23:00:00 | Did you know that in NZ you can drive illegally drive a unregistered car and unwarranted car on the roads. The only way you will get caught if you get pulled over by the Police for a traffic infringment or get a parking infringment by your local council who check up to see if your car is unregistered or unwarranted. I was just following a unregistered and unwarranted car and rang up our local council traffic dept. and they were not interested unless it was parked on the road. I checked this car on Carjam. The reason I checked it was because it was quite noisy with a standard exchaust pipe and when they put the brake lights on they all went funny. :) |

The point was that not even the Police or your local council traffic dept. are not interested in following it up when you have reported it to them. @pcuser42 a public road. :) |

Do you know you can drive a perfectly working warranted car on our roads, pissed and no-one will notice until he may get pulled over or crash into someone else first? Noisy - doesn't necessarily make it unsafe. Brake lights funny - also doesn't necessarily make it unsafe. |
