| 1248044 | 2011-12-13 21:51:00 | It's amazing what a bit of power does to some people. Anyone else would either make a smart reply or just ignore it completely, but those of us with the power to do so will "kick you ass off the forum." Very grown up, I must say. It seems that mods are more than "entitled to the same protection the forum rules offer others" - it seems mods can kick you off the forum. We mere mortals do not have that option - we just have to take it. I'm not condoning bad behaviour but I think that your reaction, Jen, is just a little bit over the top. After my remarks you will most probably threaten me as well. Get a grip of your self Roscoe. Time to grow up and get on with life. Jen has been an excellent moderator on here and doesn't need crap on here from someone who should know better. |

Jen has been an excellent moderator on here and doesn't need crap on here from someone who should know better. I did not say that Jen was no good as a moderator, I just said that I do not think that it is right that a moderator should threaten anyone and that is what Jen did. Being a moderator does not put you above anyone else but that is what Jen was doing. She was threatening to "kick your ass off this forum." Or perhaps you did not read that part? Being a moderator does not give you the right to threaten anyone. What makes you think that a moderator has the right to threaten people like that? I think it is reprehensible. There are two others in this thread that agree with me. |

Never mind the countless other types of security who threaten to kick people out if they keep misbehaving. There are two others in this thread that agree with me. And countless others who don't. |

| 1248049 | 2011-12-14 01:09:00 | I reiterate: Anyone else would have replied in kind or just said nothing at all. But if you are a moderator it seems that the rules are different even though Jen said that mods are "entitled to the same protection the forum rules offer others". Not quite right. Mods, it seems, have the extra right to "kick your ass off this forum" when they feel they have been insulted. Everybody else just has to take what is thrown at them. I believe that Jen was abusing her position. Metla: I recall you saying that you don't read my posts. But you still comment on what I say. |
