| 1270446 | 2012-04-16 13:51:00 | Hi Team Over the last week or so I've been getting occasional pop-ups telling me that MWB has blocked an outgoing threat (see screen dumps below). Yesterday the message was about PUP.Toolbardownloader and the IP address was 199.27.135.184 which checked out as cloudfarenet (cloudflare.com) which seemed innocent to me. I'm not sure what to do next because outgoing threats suggest to me that there is a nasty in residence that I need to get rid of. Scans by MWB and MSE don't seem to find anything, yet the MWB log says it has! Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I would bin it if you dont know what it is or what it does. hopefully MWB is quarantining the active file, if not, you'll have to find out where it is located and manually remove all files relating to it (and any startup files). | Iantech (16386) | ||

Thing is, I'm not exactly adventurous on line and rarely drift away fronm the orthodox and safe, though the odd site that looks interesting does get viewed from time to time. It is pretty much all technical stuff though, neither a shapely figure nor an unclothed foot to be seen. Warnings about outgoing attempts give me the wib-wobs though, they suggest resident nasties hiding in the background. Cheers Billy 8-{) |
