"Ad Aware and Spyware Search & Destroy have now been effectively made useless because most spyware simply fools them or turns them off." This after having a conversation with her about the name servers, she insisted she need to enter 5, never mind all her clients use 2 anyway, no, no she knows she needed to enter 2 cause her clients are round the world. The number of idiots we see who offer services to customers.... Example questions: On setting up domain email accounts, changing default ports -what page is that on? (in outlook) Or the one who deleted all his email accounts Or the one having endless trouble with her wordpress install, her wordpress creation - easy web design for you (Not her exact domain) Or the ones that ring up and ask if they need this anymore and what is it? (VPS) |

| 1247651 | 2011-12-08 02:21:00 | I hate web developers too, just the ones who cant make a cross-browser compatible website and FORCE you to use some other browser to view a webpage. If it don't work in the browser I'm using, I'll go to another website that does work, I don't install a browser to suit their needs. My pet gripe is the little bit of text on many websites such as "Best viewed in Internet Explorer at 1024x768" or some such rubbish. Back on topic though, whoever wrote that stuff on that page needs a beating in my opinion, setting your browser with those settings is potentially asking for trouble. |

Imagine if the medical industry was the same - you'd have nurses performing neurosurgery, bloodtest collectors making the diagnosis - never mind if they know, they can take a wild guess and tell you anyway... I sure don't make it up as I go, I get a question I don't know at work and I tell them - I don't know much about XX, I'll log it for you and discuss with one of my colleagues and get back to you. (Or pass it to whoever knows about it). Most seem surprised when you say that...geez. |
