| 9432 | 2001-03-02 02:23:00 | Recently I installed a licenced programme (Access) on one of my computers. Since then I purchased a second computer and installed the programme on this computer. When I remove the programme from the original computer I now have a startup problem. Now when starting the original computer a dialogue box pops up during the start sequence with the following data: C\ program flies\common files\ ms shared\proof\temp\mswds-en.lex and requests an associate. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the box. Regards, GLB |

| 9434 | 2001-03-04 23:26:00 | me again........you may have to type 'Rem' [minus the quotes] then a space in front of the files associated to access in msconfig[assuming you have win98 ] or try running sysedit. If you cant do either goto find and type win.ini or sys.ini then open with notepad and rem the associated files there......AT the worst reinstall access then look for an uninstall in start /programs first .If it isnt there THEN remove in add/remove programs. I hope you have some joy from this 8-) |
