9341 2001-02-28 05:25:00 I cannot download my yahoo e-mails onto Outlook Express. I use z-free to access the internet.
Are my difficulties because Yahoo is a POP server and blocking z-free (same as Xtra) and if so where can I access a list of non-POP servers. I can access by going to Yahoo web site and have followed instructions in account instructions for OE downnload.
Many thanks if anyone can help.

9342 2001-02-28 20:27:00 I have successfully configured OE5.5 to access my Yahoo mail, with Freenet as my ISP. I can't think of any reason why your, or any local ISP would want to block email traffic to and from Yahoo's mail servers??

Are you absolutely sure you have the mail account settings correct?
Servers: pop.mail.yahoo.com, smtp.mail.yahoo.com and the correct login ID and password?

9343 2001-02-28 23:03:00 Yes I have rechecked my configuration but still no joy. I agree that it is unlikely to be the server but the error note keeps coming up with :
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
