| 9540 | 2001-03-04 09:01:00 | I am trying to get Outlook Express recognised as the default email client - it keeps trying to use Outlook even though not installed. The Tools/Options/Programs screen doesn't even offer Express as an option in drop down menu. Any ideas? Cheers Peter. |

| 9544 | 2003-03-19 09:43:00 | 1. Find your MSIMN.exe file (generally at C:\Program Files\Outlook Express). Having located that file, go to Start | Run and browse to your MSIMN.exe file and click OK. When the correct path shows up in the Run line, add the following parameter at the end "/reg" (without the quotation marks). In other words, the Run line will look like this: "C:\Program File\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg (this time with the quotation marks!!). After running that command from Start | Run, try again to see if now enabling OE as your default Mail and News client under Tools | Options | General works. | Jim B (153) | ||
