| 9477 | 2001-03-03 01:40:00 | Win98 Explorer on my desktop PC allows me to sort files by attribute by clicking the toolbar at the top of the right pane. However, a later version of Win98 Explorer on my laptop PC does not appear to have this facility (the check box for 'Show File Attributes in Detail View' seems to have mysteriously disappeared from the Tools / Folder Options / View menu). Is this facility available in the later version? Why has something so useful been removed? | Guest (0) | ||

I can see the 'name' tag on the screen (which means I can at least sort by filename), but then it seems the adjacent tag is infinitly long, so that I can't select any other attributes. Right clicking on the sort tags doesn't do anything! I've looked in every menu and found no way of resetting this. If anybody else has encountered and resolved this one, I'm keen to know how .... | Guest (0) | ||
