| 9558 | 2001-03-05 07:18:00 | a debug procedure i picked up off a forum. please note i have not tried it so please get other advice before attempting this. Debug For Hard Drive Type the following exactly as it appears, make SURE you type <Enter> after each command. If not done exactly this will cause Hardware Damage. 1. Boot system to Command Prompt Only and from C:\ <type Debug> or type From C:\Windows\Command in DOS FCS:200 400 0 A MOV AX,301 MOV BX,200 MOV CX,1 ( This clears sector 1, might have to rerun routine and change the 1 to a 0 if it does not do the job. ) MOV DX,80 ( this is for primary Hdd, change 80 to 81 if Hdd is second. ) INT 13 INT 20 ENTER G Q Now your done, If you reboot and run Fdisk, chose option 4, it should read no partitions defined. If it does not, see above, and change the 1 to a 0. |
