9651 2001-03-06 14:05:00 At the beginning of windows startup I get a message about a file being corrupt or missing. This is what I get. 'set blaster. set sound16 c:/OPTi931 c:/>path/windows/command
c:>cd. config.sys
I have tried to reset the sound card. I have tried to reinstall the cd-rom driver. I am running a pentium 166 with windows 95. I have a cd-rom and a cd-writer. Can anyone help.

OPTi931 is your sound card. Perhaps you could try grabbing new Win95 drivers from
www.windrivers.com/scripts/drivers.asp?company=82c931
Then completely uninstalling your sound card and reinstalling it with these drivers.
See if that fixes it.
