| 9716 | 2001-03-08 10:03:00 | recently added bits to my network (120pcs)Started getting collisions. removed additions. still getting collisions on segments that previously worked fine. Is there any software that will identify the problem area? regards Don |

| 9717 | 2001-03-08 21:15:00 | Don, Search for LAN Analyzer on the Web (you'll find more of them with the US spelling of analyser). Troubleshooting LAN segments can be cumbersome though, if you have a switched LAN. Ideally, you'd want some management capabilities in the LAN hubs and switches, so that you can pinpoint where the problem lies quicker. Check the LAN hardware (hubs, switches, cards) to see if there's a malfunctioning device somewhere as well. -- Juha |

| 9718 | 2001-03-08 23:53:00 | thanks Juha Ive just started using some new nics (Edimax), and also a couple of 10/100 autosensing switches.The original topography is a central 10/100 dlink switch.Most original hubs are 10mbs. I wondered if the mixed environment was the problem? Will try a lan anylzr. Thanks Don |
