| 9631 | 2001-03-06 09:35:00 | I have got a 3.2 Gb drive for this pc Bios picks it up as a 3.2 Gb drive however after an fdisk and format win 95 install gives either of the following SUWIN ERROR (changes all the time) BAD MSDOS Extender error At the SCANDISK part of the install SCANDISK advise an error with LBA What do you suggest I thought of flashing the Bios so tha LBA is an option however I cannot find a bios upgrade for the A1 GX mb Please help... |

| 9633 | 2001-03-07 22:18:00 | If you have a 486, you will most likely find your motherboard setup does not address drives bigger than 540Mb. Have you installed a 'Disk Wizard' type software which came with the drive for older machines? This will setup you machine to recognise this drive. Your bios will read the info of the drive as to what type it is, size etc. but will stop about there. If you do not have this software patch try the manfacturers website, otherwise the retailer you purchased the drive from should be able to help you out. Matt |
