9623 2001-03-06 08:49:00 This error message is returned when trying to unpack IE55 executable from CD onto PC.
About 20 files get copied to temp & then the error message appears.

PC running win95a.
Over 5gig HDisk free.

Anyone struck this - a Virus at work???

Error occurs independant of location of IE55 executable - on CD or on HDisk.

Thanks

9624 2001-03-08 09:08:00 Hi! scan for viruses in your computer.
delete some files in your temp directory.
or copy the ie5.5 installation files into your hard-drive, make sure you sellect all your ie5.5 files and remove the READ ONLY attribute from the files.

Good luck!

9625 2001-03-08 19:09:00 Thanks for the feedback Dylan.

The temp folder was/is empty, and I was working with a single executable file copied to my HDrive.
I did not think of checking the exe file attributes though. I suspect that is probably the issue all right.

I will report back.

Thanks again.
