| 9828 | 2001-03-11 19:58:00 | When I boot my computer it now shows a message during bootup 'invalid setting in ms dos.sys file - BOOTMENUDELAY=' The system continues to boot as normal, but I only get a very brief view of the Windows startup logo before continuing on to windows. I have opened the ms dos.sys file and tried to add the 'BOOTMENUDELAY=' (not listed at present), but cannot alter file as it is read only. Can someone please tell me how to remove the read only setting so I can add the heading and set a delay time. My system runs Windows ME Thanks in advance David Slater |
