| 9808 | 2001-03-11 05:38:00 | Hi, I'm having difficulty with the windows update feature! I've tried all the options on the Microsoft web site that I can remember (the page will not display because of security ActiveX problems). Recently I reinstalled windows and loaded version 5.5 of Internet Explorer immediately after windows loaded, before going to windows update. For some reason none of the solutions on your web site which I tried worked for me. I downloaded a new version of the virtual machine tried to install that, but to no avail it didn't work. I wondered if purchasing the update to windows 98 second edition (windows millennium) would get around this problem? Any help would be appreciated thank you. Malcolm. |

If not I'd say just forget the whole windoze update thing all together. -Just go to the MS site and see what's available, you might want Directx 8a for example. If it aint broke, don't fix it I say. |
