9799 2001-03-11 02:29:00 Yup.. this is me again! When I posted the last message, I rebooted.. and got an error message saying the following file was corrupted (so who has got at it eh? Let's all gang together to stop this vile corruption of dll's ok.. join the Protect Your Dll society *hehe).... anyways.. it says that msieftp.dll is corrupt!.. I gather the first few stand for *Microsoft Internet Explorer File Transfer Protocol* (see I aint such a thicko!).. is this what is causing the problem with downloading IE5.5 and what can I do.. .*pleading look at all the clever teccie folks out there* Guest (0)

Not sure what Operating system your using but try the following:

1/ Click Start/ Settings/ Control Panel,

2/ Double click Add/ Remove Programs,

3/ Scroll down to - 'Miscrodoft Internet Explorer 5 & Internet tools,

4/ Double click the above entry,

5/ Select the 'Repair' option

See if that fixes the problem.
