| 9760 | 2001-03-09 09:20:00 | Fffice 2000 takes forever to perform. To open a new word document takes up to a minute. To open an existing file takes several minutes. It also takes a few minutes to print a file. I can't trace this fairly recent problem back to any new install. I have since Fdisk'd my system and re installed Win 98SE and office 2000 pro I have: cleared all temp files, Booted into safe mode to clear the swap file, Set my virtual memory to around 2 x RAM, all of which have made no difference. My system is a PII 233 with 96MB and a 6 GB hdd with 3 partitions all of which have at least 50% free space. Any ideas please? |
