| 9841 | 2001-03-12 02:44:00 | Is there a way that one can logon to different networks at different times using Windows 2000? I have a Notebook that I use in various settings, yet I do not want to compromise 'security and simplicity' as I'm not wanting to have to run to the techs everytime I want to change. It seems that 'security'? issues preclude this, or is it merely a way to keep the networks and computer settings simple. I used to at one stage have a DOS based boot screen under Win95 that coped with the various requirements. Is there something similar in terms of concept in Win2000? |

| 9843 | 2001-03-18 07:02:00 | Thanks for this comment... the networks are 1). Home based Peer to peer, Microsoft workgroup (Win98 based TCP/IP, on 10 BNC base line 2) Work Domain based ? NT4, although I am using Win2000 Pro. The rest I cannot answer... too technical. I had thought it would be possible to be able to select what network one was about to link up to and then log on to it. It seems that 'it cannot be done' (?too complicated / don;t want to have the hassle) |
