9737 2001-03-09 00:56:00 I am working on a project with a friend who has a Mac.

I can read Word and Excel files he has Emailed me but he cannot read files I have sent him.

He is using Word 98 and Excel 98 on the Mac. I am using Office 2000.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

9738 2001-03-09 03:29:00 You have to save them for mac if you go to save as then down to Word 4.0 for Macintoch (*.MCW)

or version 5.0 or Version 5.1

depends on what your friend is using

The same for Excel

Saving the word document worked fine with a *.MCW file extension.

However there was not the same facility in Excel - Checked the help - no mention of MCW or Macintosh save formats?

Appreciate any other ideas.
