| 9960 | 2001-03-14 01:55:00 | I recently purchased a new 20G hard disk and specified that I wanted a 7200 rpm model. When I got it, it had '7200 rpm' written in pen (handwriting) on the packet, which I did not see till I had the thing installed and running. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can download or otherwise obtain a free utility to test the spindle speed (and other performance stats) of a hard disk, so I can confirm its specs for myself. This would be much appreciated, Thank You. |

I was hoping to test this actual drive myself without taking it out of the case again to get the serial no etc. I just wanted to know if someone knows of a testing utility that can measure the spindle speed for me. Thanks |
