9880 2001-03-12 08:30:00 I used to be able put URLs onto the Links Bar. Now I can't. I had a crash of the TCP/IP driver some months ago and on advise of my ISP, I uninstalled the various TCP/IP drivers. In the end I had to reload Windows 95 as well as IE4. Since then I have not been able to access the Links bar. All I get is the No Go circle with a line through it. In the past I was able to load new URLs via the favorites\links folder in windows directory. I can't even open the favorites folder either. Can anybody out there help me. Many thanks Guest (0)
9881 2001-03-12 21:36:00 I think it might be time to reinstall. I'd suggest putting IE 5.5 over the top of IE 4 which is getting a bit old now and 5.5 is much better. I found that cover disks off magazines usually have a free copy of IE 5.5 or you could try the overnight download from Microsoft. But it's quite a big program so look for a cover disk - well worth the $10 for the cost of the magazine in my opinion :) Guest (0)
