10016 2001-03-14 22:45:00 I have a 486 machine running Win 95B
The default screen settings are 640x480 but I prefer 800x600 and have to change these every time I boot up. I go right through the full procedure each time and it really gets a bit frustrating.

Is there any way to change the default settingd so that my preferences are locked in?

10017 2001-03-15 01:15:00 Hi Judith.

Have you done the following?

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Settings?

then amend the desktop area to 800 x 600 and press Apply.

This should alter the Registry to reflect the 800 x 600 at startup.

Bryan.

10018 2001-03-15 02:13:00 Thanks Bryan, but that's what I do every day. It doesn't seem to alter registry. Every time I switch off and start up again the screen is back to the previous default settings. Help, help. Guest (0)

10021 2001-03-16 03:19:00 Hi Judith, Check your Monitor specs, it may only handle 640 X 480 in the colour palette you are using. I have Win95A 640 X480 16 bit, change to 800 X 600 & all goes haywire unless I change from VGA . Frank Guest (0)
