10148 2001-03-17 23:57:00 Currently running Windows ME with Nortons Systemworks 2001. Was required reload Nortons due to an auto protection fault. Currently the nortons cd will start to load but hangs when initialising nortons utilities. On checking ctrl/alt/delete for running programmes, I see that Isset_se is not responding. I have reloaded windows ME, closed other running programmes but still same fault. Symantec knowledge base states 'set auto-protect scan option from 'all files' to 'program files only'. I cannot find 'auto-protect.' Any ideas how to fix fault and what is Isset_se. Guest (0)
10149 2001-03-18 06:23:00 Hello Dave
You need to disable your Antivirus utility, just right click on the Icon in the task bar and choose disable, you should then be able to peform installation with no further problems.

10150 2001-03-18 11:42:00 Hi,

Turn off anything running in the task bar (cirus scanners and the like) although it sounds like u have already done this.

you'll find the auto protect option in norton antivirus (probably start/prgramfiles/norton antivirus) on the options button. there check under the tabs 'scanner' and 'auto protect'

ive had the same message a billion times when installing things, and turning off my virus scanner always fixes it.
hope this helps.
