| 10132 | 2001-03-17 09:48:00 | This posting is linked to my problem with CD-R. We've saved a number of files, created in Microsoft Home Publishing 2000 on a CD. This CD is now unreadable (unless someone here can help). We've found M.H.Pub.2000 to be very unstable as it crashes regularly, forcing us to reboot the computer. This means that a lot of *.tmp files remain in the system. Is there any way of reading these *.tmp files and maybe recovering at least part of the information that's been lost on the CD. I try opening the *.tmp files with - right click - 'Open', but it trys to open the file in MS Word, which results in a lot of heiroglyphics on screen. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. |

You could also try opening them in Wordpad. At the best all you will likely be able to recover is some plain text. |
