10104 2001-03-16 11:38:00 I've just completed a ram update from 64mb to 128mb. Later after I finished I came across a back issue of PC that said to use the same type of bus. So just to check, I opened up my PC again & found that 1 socket is 100 & the other is 133. My PC is working at 128mb AOK but am I on temp time or stay to the saying 'If it ain't broke etc.....' ??? PC133 RAM will run at 100 if that what your system is set to operate on, or if any other RAM modules are lower than 133. It will not cause any harm.

Matt's right and I have just done the same myself. However check the BUS speed of your motherboard to se if it supports 133MHz to be safe. Older motherboards may not, and long term you could damage the motherboard

Your manual or setup program should tell you.
