| 10072 | 2001-03-16 01:34:00 | I have come across this problem before, but can't remember how to fix it! This is a computer with both Outlook and Outlook express installed. OE is set as the default mail program but will not catch clicks on email links. When an email address link on a web page is clicked, a window about profiles comes up. How do I make OE kick in? | Guest (0) | ||

Check the Programs tab in Tools/Internet Options to make sure OE is set as the Email default. In OE - Tools/Options, the General tab has a button for setting OE as the default message handler for Email. Make sure you have clicked on this. Hope this is of some help. |

To check, go to windows explorer/view/folder options/file types scroll down to URL:mailto protocol and highlight it the comments should show Opens with MSIMN which is of course outlook express.
