10176 2001-03-19 02:15:00 I used to have 2 hard drives installed and working properly. Drive 1 ( 4.3G) was partitioned into 3 - Drives C,E, & F.
Drive 2 ( 1.2G) - Drive D was only showing as 530mb. I decided to reformat it to the full 1.2G but must have done something wrong or omitted something with FDisk. Windows Explorer now shows it as Drive F having shifted the other two down and when I try to access it I get message to say ' F:\ is not accessible. A device attached to the system is not functioning.'
Hoping you can help as, not only have I lost this drive but, all the shortcuts on the now D andE drives are all screwed up.

10178 2001-03-19 08:41:00 Magic! A two word solution - you truly are a magician. Thanks.
Was surprised however that the drive remained as 'F' rather than reverting back to 'D'
Thanks again, Jim
