| 10170 | 2001-03-18 09:58:00 | I bought a 2nd hand PC and decided to start fresh and reformat the HDD. I used a Win98 boot disk with only the PCI video card installed. I run setup for Win95 and get to the license screen where it just freezes (missing some parts of the screen graphics). PC runs fine in DOS (played some games) but I cannot install Win95 or Win98. Both freeze at the same point. I have tried BIOS/Setup defaults with no luck. RAM, VC, CD, HDD were all tried and working OK in another system and the PC was working before I tried reinstalling Windows. Soyo 5TF Mobo P166 MMX Quantum 1.2 GB HDD 32MB 72 pin EDO Cirrus Logic video 36x CD Thanks in advance. |
