| 10337 | 2001-03-23 00:41:00 | I have some bad clusters on my uncles hard drive, does this mean that it is stuffed? I have formatted it and scandisk found the bad clusters. Should I bother re installing windows? Or is it a throw away? There are 3 bad cklusters. Thanks if you can help. |

| 10338 | 2001-03-23 04:28:00 | Scandisk marks the bad clusters so that those clusters won't be be used. Therefore the drive can contiue to be used, but do so at your own risk. The problem that now arises is that further bad clusters may appear at a later time and there is no way of knowing whether that is in ten minutes or ten years. | Guest (0) | ||

If it stays the same u probably will be OK but like fortelling the future nothing is certain and Murphys Law applys |
