| 10391 | 2001-03-25 00:00:00 | I have networked a WinME & a Win95 sytem. The printer(Epson 670)is on the Win ME system. Everything works fine but when I go to print from Win95 system I get an error message that status monitor has a 'communication error' but it prints OK.Also netwatcher on the Win95 system can't detect any network connections but thru explorer I can see the other system fine.Just an annoying bug I would like to get rid of.Any ideas? | Guest (0) | ||

| 10393 | 2001-03-30 22:43:00 | On the ME sytem it is set up for Client for M/S networks,Dial Up Adapter,Realtek PCI Ethernet Adapter,NetBEUI,TCP/IP,File & Printer Sharing. On the 95 system-Client for M/S networks,CNET Ethernet Adapter,NetBEUI,File & Printer Sharing. File & Printer sharing is checked for both systems. I have got rid of the error message for now by turning off the status monitor for the printer on the 95 system but I'm concerned I may run into a problem if I try to run a network game or something like that. If I try to run the Internet Connection Sharing wizard on the ME system it says there is no valid adaptor(or something similar)This network stuff is all new to me so I really appreciate any help I can get. |
