| 10544 | 2001-03-28 00:00:00 | First thing to check is that the drive is set up correctly in the BIOS (this can usually be accessed by pressing Del, F1 or Esc as it is going through its system checks). The floppy drive should be set to 3 1/2 1.44Mb floppy. The next thing is to open the case up and check that the cables to the floppy drive are firmly attached to the drive and motherboard. If all else fails try replacing the drive with a temporary one to determine if the problem lies with the drive. |
