10495 2001-03-26 23:38:00 I read here that a lot of people don't seem to like Adaptec as a CD-burner program. Just wondering, if I dump Adaptec in favour of something else (always looking for better programs) will CD-RW's written with Adaptec still be readable with another program? Guest (0)
10496 2001-03-27 02:28:00 Once a cd is written, most all cd readers can read it regardless of the software used.
If you are talking about formatting and re-writing to a cd that has been burnt using adaptec, then yes the same principle applies. It is not encoded with a special adaptec fingerprint :)

Personally I use Nero and CloneCD. It really is only a matter of preference.

10497 2001-03-27 05:19:00 Nero does it all, but you have to un-install any other burn progs - especially Adaptec before installing Nero Guest (0)
